
Vanessa Bulic
Psychologist/ Family Therapist
Vanessa is a Psychologist and has been registered with the Psychology Board of Australia since 2002. She completed her Master of Clinical Family Therapy in 2006 and has been in Private Practice for many years working with individuals and families, presenting with a range of issues.
Vanessa specialises in the area of Eating Disorders and has worked in Private and Public Outpatient Eating Disorder Programs supporting children, adolescents, adults and families with a lived experience. She has also worked for the Department of Education and Training, Disability Client Services and Community Organisations.
Vanessa aims to provide a safe, supportive and empowering space for curiosity and reflection to occur, whilst working towards freedom and fulfilment. In doing so, she draws on evidence-based practice that meets individual and family needs. This may include Psycho-education, Family Based Therapy (FBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Relaxation Strategies, Interpersonal Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Schema Therapy to attend to unmet emotional needs. Vanessa is trained in the Maudsley Model, which is a family based approach specifically designed to assist in the recovery of an eating disorder.
Vanessa believes it is important to work collaboratively with her clients and their treating team including Allied Health Professionals, Dietitians, Psychiatrists, General Practitioners and Paediatricians to ensure continuity and consistency of care.
